Gate 2011 update...

Hi,

GATE 2011 notification is out. Sale of Application forms will commence 21st September.

The pattern of questions remains the same, as well as the marks. We have 65 Questions, 100 marks,

Two more papers have moved online this time, so we have MN, TF, AE and GG online.

One more change -In GATE 2011, the OFFLINE examination will be conducted in two sessions on Sunday, February 13, 2011. The OFFLINE examination in AR, BT, CE, CH, CS, ME, PH and PI papers will be held in the forenoon session from 09.00 hrs to 12.00 hrs. The OFFLINE examination in AG, CY, EC, EE, IN, MA, MT, XE and XL will be held in the afternoon session from 14.00 hrs to 17.00 hrs.

Pattern :There will be a total of 65 questions carrying 100 marks.

Q.1 to Q.25 (25 questions) carry one mark each (sub-total 25 marks). Q.26 to Q.55 (30 questions) carry two marks each (sub-total 60 marks). Questions Q.56 - Q.65 belong to General Aptitude (GA). Questions Q.56 - Q.60 (5 questions) carry 1 mark each (sub-total 5 marks) and questions Q.61 - Q.65 (5 questions) carry 2-marks each (sub-total 10 marks).

Questions Q.48 - Q.51 (2 pairs) are common data questions. and Qquestion pairs (Q.52, Q.53) and (Q.54, Q.55) are linked answer questions. The answer to the second question of the linked answer questions depends on the answer to the first question of the pair. If the first question in the linked pair is wrongly answered or is unattempted, then the answer to the second question in the pair will not be evaluated.

Hello frnds, my this post is dedicated to our second life "Social Networking". We have given it our all without thinking what circumstances and mental state will we be dragged into on excess.

(**NOTE:: i will use #SN# in place of Social Networking)

Well, the basic idea of SN is to share, communicate what is going around in our lives and surrounding on the web. We talk to friends, go to college and have fun and play gags and what not? all that stuff we share on the WWW to multiply the fun by sharing with those whom we can't meet daily.

But today we have become so much obsessed with SN that our SN profile is not just a profile to us! Its more more far more than that. It's our life, our EGO! Today time has come such that we when in grops at college or any place talk of what's going on SN sites, our profiles, who commented what and on who's wall. While earlier it was that we used to talk of what's going on in live on SN! The idea of SN is public collaboration which has now become personal affairs on fire!

Not just the way of communication but also representation of one's personality has become dependent on SN sites. A person is not what he says or behaves, but instead his personality is now calculated from his posts, comments and pics and with whom is he "friends-with" and what not from his SN profile. It has reached an extent that even companies recruit people seeing at least once on his SN profile!! This is holy shit! how the hell can yo decide how a person is from his SN profile??? You are universal jerks!

Even, relationships have been overridden by SN sites. Need a demo.. here are two.

*1* Suppose you need/want to break up from a relationship, here you go! Go to your profile and change your relationship status. It is understood that you are no longer interested.

*2* To humiliate your ex, all you need to do is click a awesome pic with a stud or a hottie and upload it to your profile and make it your profile pic. You are done congratulations! you just jealous-i-fied, teased, murdered your ex! :)

All in all i want to say is we must stop now. It's high time, that we stop taking a SN profile as our own real life and our own purchased shit peace of land on the WWW moon.! pls stop for God sake, if not then at-least for the sake of mental peace.

Even neighbors and mom/dad.grandpa/grandma want to be frnds on SN! As if we never met. We see them everyday, stay with them eat wit them sleep with them ( dun take it the other way or i'll drown you in hot coffee :P). So this is how life has changed by SN sites!

We must understand that the SN sites and real life is different. At no cost or at no means these both should intersect to destroy our peace and relations.

Exams..!!

Yes... all of the students on this earth may or may not be of the same views but every student on the earth will agree with me on this topic.. Lolz... that is exam time.. he he... every student hates the exam time... its like you are in debt of crores (Millions) of rupees!! No body understands what the hell the did wrong for which they are been pissed of like this..

Ambitions and much more...

Well, as usual my this post also has nothing drastic to do with. Now after getting through 6 semesters of college i ( actually which student doesn't?) feel a little sad, the pace at which time flies-by is in itself a thing to notice. May be its coz we never look at it when we are busy, and out of a sudden can't stop looking at the clock when in no-work-state! Well i have'nt written this for praising qualities of time.

It's late monsoon and also the time for placements for the students in 7th sem (4th yr) of their courses. Every one pf us came stepped-in the untrodden ways of the college life with lush green hearts filled with joy, excitement, and a world to conquer! And especially when time comes to the thing of #Placements the all of a sudden the flashback comes in to the mind of what ambitions we came to the new world. With the first announcement of the companies coming runs an unmatched wave of thrill and also brings a feeling of insecureness.

Everyone from nerds with zombie-fying aggregates, average students with there mark-sheets resembling #ekta kapoo's daily soaps, and the underprivileged bunch of sheep start all of a sudden activity. Of then begins the bloody battle of getting selected for the dream job that they want. but problems aren't just restricted to it. The problems are even worse! yeah worse than a nightmare!!

Its written in devnagri script which is also the base of our national emblem "Satyam-eva jayte", but when it comes to reaching goals and fulfilling the ambitions, its okay to not override it, but just put it on side. One goes praising all things that the person wuold never have said if that wasn't going to help him getting into the dream job. But its well also.. to do so. who cares.. agar ese hi job miljatee to ye sab kyu karte.. ??

"sam dam dand bhed" rule just gets a broader meaning during these days.. During this season some abitions are fulfilled and some go in vain. Life shoes it all colors! just like a peacock dancing in rains.. Its beautiful observe things. But when it extends from being an observer to a action-maker.. it really horrifies.. Some ambitions are broken by their own mistakes (( i.e. by the students) sme silly mistakes and you are done! Its not that all the deserving candidates get selected.

The one who shows extraordinary communications skills makes the way through in. So all those who are like me, who are not good in communication (oral) gear up buddies "coz u gonna get though competition".

Well, this is what for the moment! a random post as i was just randomly free at a season of random rains in late-monsoon! Just as God flooded our streets with rains.. so he mite also flood your lives with all colors, happiness and a meaningful life.. take care.. will write soon.. :)
